Five Stars Family Burger

I love everything about Five Stars Family Burger. This family run joint is awesome. The family who runs it is SO NICE. They give major auntie and uncle vibes, like they just want to take care of you and feed you good burgers. The bulgogi burger is my favorite! I LOVE THIS PLACE

Amazing from start to finish. We got lucky and only had to wait about 25 mins as walk ins, and it was 100% worth it. I had the bulgogi burger while my husband had the jalapeño burger, spice level 6 which was perfect. The patty was perfectly cooked all the way through, charred on the outside, juicy on the inside. Ingredients were fresh and buns were soft and delicious. The bulgogi was perfect, not fatty or stringy. Perfect amount of crispy crinkle fries which weren't greasy or overly salted. Dave and his wife Inn were so sweet and welcoming. I personally enjoyed Dave's no nonsense but still lighthearted attitude, you can tell they take pride in the food they create. Also, he is hilarious. I enjoyed the funny signs throughout the restaurant. The location itself was simple and just a place to sit and enjoy your meal. Dave checked on us and how our meal was going. I appreciated cans of soda because it's easy portion control for me. Overall the only thing I'm upset about is not having checked this place out sooner!

First time here. Went with the classic burger. It was great! Will definitely be back to try their kimchi burger. Owners were super nice! Fyi: There is a fee if paying with card.

We originally tried coming here months ago and there was a long wait so we decided to come another time (at the time we didn't know just how popular they are) and it took us some time to make it back to the area. Today we called at 11:30am and it was a 1.5 hr wait, not too bad, and we were able to hit it up on our way home from the beach. The owners are so friendly. The burgers are worth the hype. They are incredibly juicy and I love that they're not cooked well-done, just a little pink in the middle. The flavors are great and the fries compliment them well. Halfway through our meal the owner asked us by name how it was all tasting. They love what they do and they're good at it! A note about the people leaving negative reviews about the wait and service: the long wait shows they're popular (and for a reason) and that's a good thing, meaning a local business is doing well. Call ahead and be patient for good food. And the owners had big smiles on their faces for us and everyone else they served while we were there. Be good to them and they'll be good to you.

Pure joy! Now, about the wait. It can be long, even if you call ahead or come in person during a rush. I've waited an hour before, and you know what? I'd do it every single time if I have the time. Even in the middle of the week, after the lunch rush, when my order was "immediate," it still took about 25 minutes. That's because they're focused on perfection, not speed. ( You can't create a perfect burger from start to finish in less time than that believe me because they start every thing from scratch including cutting those crispy vegetables to avoid the wilt, etc. to forming the perfect patty from the moment you order it. And trust me, that dedication shines through in every juicy, flavorful bite. So, if you're in the mood for an absolutely phenomenal burger, prepared by a genuinely lovely family, and you have a little patience to spare, Five Stars Family Burger is an absolute must-try. You'll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit!

Caution: long wait times. Call ahead, or prepare to return later. Amazing burgers. We stopped in for our first time, not knowing the typical wait time. Was told it would be 1 1/2 hours for the next order, which was fine, we didn't know. Food was amazing, though the fries do get pretty soft as they cool, which is understandable. Kinda pricey too, but you get what you pay for. Owners were very lovely and friendly. Will definitely be coming back.

CALL AHEAD FOR YOUR ORDER! We stopped in after hearing about this great burger spot. The wait for walk in was 1.5 hours and they had only been open for 30 min. Best to call ahead. Great juicy burgers come with fries. Not greasy at all. Very fresh ingredients. Good customer service. Chef was very friendly, even came out and asked us how everything was. They have canned sodas. Very clean dining area. If in the area again will definitely give them a call.

As a self proclaimed burger enthusiast, I did some research about where to find a good burger around the Portland area. EAT HERE!!! The burger was incredible. Well seasoned, with the perfect amount of char and incredibly juicy. They use high quality cheese (and not just the cheese but all of the ingredients and toppings are delicious and fresh). The family are awesome hosts and very welcoming. They do sell out after a certain amount of burgers daily so make sure to call and order ahead. Well worth the wait and/or drive to get here. I can’t recommend them highly enough!
